Our global collaborative partners are coming together at MFF2014 in San Diego to present mobile films from their festivals. They include Mobile Festival in Macedonia, Cinephone in Spain and SESIFF in South Korea.

We are so proud and honored to have Dr. Max Schleser from Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand. He is a founder of the Mobile Innovation Network Aotearoa  (MINA) and a global mobile filmmaker.

Max is presenting a mobile filmmaking workshop during MFF2014 and will share a mobile-mentary, Frankenstorm, for our Community Stories Program.

There is much more in store for attendees of this innovative film festival. We not only are providing mobile event apps to our attendees instead of paper programs, as we have for each event. But we are going to provide a **live feed broadcast of selections from our event. The live feed will be broadcast from a smartphone into the phones of everyone who has the event app or online.  A mobile film festival with a mobile TV with all mobile film content and broadcast.

MFF is a traditional red carpet event film festival. There just are a lot of innovations that make it special, unique and worth checking out.

One aspect of MFF2014 is that the evolution of standard filmmaking to mobile filmmaking is evident. This is a new genre in filmmaking. For students and younger people the festival brings a new perspective to filmmaking: Anyone can try it. For older film enthusiasts it brings the old days of experimental filmmaking like super 8mm films.

While everyone can try to make films and tell stories through mobile filmmaking, we are providing filmmaking workshops for attendees. The workshops are part of our Mobile Film School which we plan to accredit.

If you thought all mobile films were experimental or rough home video type films, then you really have to attend this event. Watch one of Conrad Mess’ films. During our film festival we will be featuring our Mobile Film School partner Conrad Mess. Conrad is the most acclaimed mobile filmmaker in the world. His films are shockingly superb. But you must come to see them on the big screen to believe it. His latest film is cued and ready to play!
